On the afternoon of November 16, two people flying the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam in Paris visited and presented gifts to the Vocational Education Center for the Disabled and Orphans in Hoc Mon District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Entering the center, the innocent yet disadvantaged eyes of the children quickly touched the hearts of the two international guests.
Mr. Olivier Parriaux recounted the arduous journey and the motivation that urged them to take the bold action that year - hanging the flag symbolizing the spirit of Vietnamese national liberation on the top of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Mr. Olivier Parriaux confided that when he and his friends were young men in their twenties, they were luckier than their siblings. They had good eyesight, good health, a good mind, and above all, the opportunity to act.
That's why he "loves the children very much" - the young buds who have suffered from disadvantages from a very young age, but still maintain their innocence and resilience.
It was these fortunate conditions that urged him and his friends to stand up against unjust wars and fight for the ideals of peace, freedom and democracy - ideals that Vietnam has steadfastly pursued for many years.

In their eyes, each child here, despite their physical disabilities, is still a flame of faith and hope.
Their resilience is a testament to the indomitable spirit that the Vietnamese people have demonstrated on every front.
