Two international badminton champions receive good news

On April 23, Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, issued Decision No. 818/QD-UBND on awarding Certificates of Merit to two athletes Nguyen Dinh Hoang, Tran Dinh Manh and coach Le Tri Dung for their excellent achievements at the Ciputra Hanoi - Yonex Sunrise Vietnam International Challenge 2025 Badminton Tournament taking place at the end of March 2025.

At this tournament, the couple Nguyen Dinh Hoang and Tran Dinh Manh (from Lam Dong Province Sports Training and Competition Center) excellently won the gold medal in the men's doubles event.

To win the title, the pair Dinh Hoang - Dinh Manh passed the preliminary round, consecutively defeating the number 3 seed pair Tori Aizawa - Daisuke Sano (round 1) and the number 4 seed pair Kazuki Shibata - Naoki Yamada (Japan) in the final match with a score of 2-1 (21-19, 15-21, 21-15).

This is not only a personal success for the two players from Lam Dong Province Sports Training and Competition Center, but also an important milestone for Vietnamese badminton in the international arena.

Coach Le Tri Dung was also commended for his leadership and training, helping athletes reach their peak performance. Their success is a great inspiration for young athletes, aiming for big arenas such as the SEA Games and international tournaments.

The Ciputra Hanoi - Yonex Sunrise Vietnam International Challenge 2025 badminton tournament takes place from March 25 to 30, 2025 in Hanoi with 314 athletes from 20 countries competing.
