On October 23, in Hanoi, the German Embassy held an award ceremony for the logo design contest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of German-Vietnamese diplomatic relations.

In 2025, Germany and Vietnam will celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations. To honor this event, the German Embassy in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany launched a logo design competition to celebrate this important year from June 15 to August 15.
Among the 120 entries, the winning logo was the creative idea of a group of students from Hanoi, Ms. Nguyen Tran My Anh from the National Economics University (NEU) and Mr. Do Duc Cuong from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).
According to the jury, the logo reflects the vibrant and diverse connections between the two countries and will be used in all commemorative activities in Vietnam and Germany in 2025.
At the award ceremony, German Ambassador Helga Margarete Barth appreciated the important role of the logo in the planned communication activities of German diplomatic missions in Vietnam and relevant parties next year.
According to her, the commemorative logo will emphasize the strong and lasting ties between the two countries as well as draw public attention to this important anniversary in articles, press and media campaigns as well as at public events taking place throughout the anniversary year.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the decision to choose the winning logo shows the importance of creativity, innovation, intercultural dialogue, promoting understanding, strengthening trust, and creating the basis for enhancing cooperation in all fields.
