Hai Phong: A kindergarten teacher had her contract terminated for checking a child's "sensitive area" in the middle of class.

Previously, at around 4:15 p.m. on March 28, at Kindergarten 1, Beautiful Bee House Kindergarten (An Duong District, Hai Phong City), teacher D.KC checked the private area of ​​child S during class, in the presence of other children in the class.

The incident only became widely known when on April 4, the high school parent - the mother of child S - indignantly posted on her personal Facebook a post reflecting on the teacher's behavior. The content of the post quickly spread on social networks, attracting attention and creating a wave of indignation in the parent community.

Immediately upon receiving the information, the People's Committee of An Duong district directed the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the People's Committee of An Dong ward and the school to conduct verification.

The investigation results showed that the parents' complaints were well-founded. During the meeting with the parents, the school and the investor's representative, teacher C. admitted her wrongdoings, publicly apologized to the child's family and pledged not to repeat the incident.

The Department of Education and Training of An Duong district determined that this was a serious violation of professional ethics, inconsistent with regulations on sex education for preschool children. Based on that, Sakura Kids Education Development Joint Stock Company - Grand Tower branch (the school's parent company) decided to terminate the labor contract with teacher D.KC.

Not stopping at handling individual violators, the People's Committee of An Duong District requested the investor and the school to urgently review the entire process of child care and education; strengthen professional inspection and supervision; and invite psychologists and doctors to assess the health and psychology of the children in the class.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training also coordinates with wards in the district to organize periodic professional activities on professional ethics and skills in handling sensitive situations for all preschool teachers.

The incident is a wake-up call about the need for professional supervision and professional ethics training in preschool education environments – where even the smallest actions of adults can leave a lasting mark on children's souls.
