Two interchanges with the North Expressway

On the morning of April 19th, the Thieu Giang (Thieu Giang commune, Thieu Hoa district) and Dong Thang (Trieu Son district) interchanges on the Mai Son - National Highway 45 expressway were officially put into operation. Thus, to date, seven interchanges on the North-South expressway passing through Thanh Hoa province have been completed and put into use: Gia Mieu, Ha Linh, Thieu Giang, Dong Xuan , Dong Thang, Van Thien, and Nghi Son.

The Dong Thang interchange has been put into operation, making it more convenient for vehicles to travel to and from localities such as Thanh Hoa City, Trieu Son district, Nong Cong district, and some neighboring districts.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of investment in expressways and create momentum to promote socio -economic development, Thanh Hoa province has reviewed and allocated investment capital for interchanges connecting expressways with the provincial transportation network, linking urban and rural areas, industrial zones, export processing zones, high-tech zones, tourist areas, new urban areas, seaports, and Tho Xuan airport.

To facilitate travel for people on the expressway, the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport has noted that trucks with a total vehicle weight (including vehicle weight and cargo) exceeding 10 tons are not permitted on the Eastern North-South Expressway, and motorcycles, mopeds, tractors, specialized vehicles with speeds less than or equal to 70 km/h, non-motorized vehicles, and pedestrians are prohibited.
