Two major tourist areas in Quang Nam awarded 'Oscars of tourism industry'

At the World Travel Awards ceremony held in Portugal on November 24, two large-scale tourist areas in Quang Nam were honored in two categories.

Hoiana Complex won the World's Best Integrated Resort category.

Meanwhile, Hoi An Memory Island was honored in the category of World's Leading Tourism, Culture & Entertainment Complex.

Hoiana is located in Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, about 10km from Hoi An ancient town. This is one of the largest foreign investment projects in Quang Nam and is the center of international sports events and conferences.

Hoiana is located along 4km of coastline with a total of more than 1,200 rooms in 4 5-star hotels. The resort also has 20 restaurants and bars, a golf course.

Hoi An Memory Island is located next to Hoi An ancient town with 3 sub-areas: large stage for live art performances, cultural theme park and spa and culinary service area.

The highlight of the complex is the Hoi An Memories show - an art program that recreates 400 years of Hoi An's changes using live performance technology.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards is a prestigious award recognized worldwide and is considered the "Oscars of the tourism industry".

The awards ceremony in Portugal on November 24 was the final gala in the World Travel Awards 2024 series.

Previously, the award ceremony for the Asia and Oceania region took place on the evening of September 3 in Manila, Philippines.

Vietnam won the awards for Asia's Leading Destination , Asia's Leading Heritage Destination , and Asia's Leading Nature Destination in 2024 .

Major cities such as the capital Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City also won a series of awards. Hanoi won the awards for Asia's Leading City Destination and Asia's Leading Resort Destination . Ho Chi Minh City won the awards for Asia's Leading Convention and Exhibition Destination and Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination 2024 .
