(BGDT) - On May 13, in Hanoi, the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers organized a celebration of the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team on May 15 (1941-2023) and awarded the Kim Dong Prize for the 2022-2023 school year. Bac Giang had two students honored.

They are Dam Phuong Thao, class 9A, An Chau Secondary School (Son Dong) and Nguyen Son Long, class 7A3, Than Nhan Trung Secondary School (Viet Yen). Both of them are exemplary Team Leaders with excellent academic achievements.

I am Dam Phuong Thao.

Dam Phuong Thao is an excellent student for 9 consecutive years. She is best at Math. She always achieves an average score of 8.5 or higher in this subject and represents the school in many competitions to select excellent students at all levels. In addition, she loves chess. She has won first and second prizes in chess in several district-level competitions.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Thao won First Prize in the Science and Technology Competition for high school students at the district level and an Encouragement Prize at the provincial level competition with the project "Household water pipe cleaning machine".

I am Nguyen Son Long.

Nguyen Son Long always strives to complete his studies well. Since he was a child, Long has loved English. His family supported him to be confident and try his hand at many foreign language speaking competitions. Last school year, Long won the Gold Medal at the ASMO Global English Competition and English Debate organized by the American International School Ivy Global School; and the First Prize at the provincial level of the IOE provincial competition.

At the same time, Son Long won the First Prize in the 2021 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Second Prize in the 2022 Bac Giang Province Excellent Team Commander Contest...

In the 2022-2023 school year, 122 outstanding children nationwide were awarded the Kim Dong Award. This is an award from the Central Youth Union to encourage team members, team leaders, and teams with outstanding achievements in the work of the Team and the children's movement.
