Accordingly, on the afternoon of the same day, the inspection team of Market Management Team No. 5 of the Hai Duong Provincial Market Management Department, in coordination with Team 4 of the Department of Criminal Investigation of Corruption, Economic Crimes , Smuggling, and Environmental Crimes of the Hai Duong Provincial Police, conducted a surprise inspection of Long Xoan 2, a confectionery, cosmetics, and general store located on Mai Hac De Street, Cam Thuong Ward, Hai Duong City.
Upon inspection, authorities discovered that the store was selling nearly 1,200 mooncakes, baked goods, and other types of pastries that were smuggled. All the smuggled goods were temporarily seized by authorities for further investigation and processing according to regulations.
Previously, on August 23, Market Management Team No. 1 issued a decision to fine the business owner Pham Thi L. (address: No. 7/5/39 Khuc Thua Du Street, Thanh Binh Ward, Hai Duong City, Hai Duong Province) for the act of trading smuggled mooncakes, ordering the destruction of 48 infringing mooncakes.
