Ha Tinh collects more than 1,120 billion VND in domestic tax in 50 days

As of February 19, the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department collected more than VND 1,120 billion for the State budget, reaching 13.8% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, up 48% over the same period.

In 2024, the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department was assigned by the Provincial People's Council to estimate the state budget revenue at VND 8,100 billion, of which land revenue reached VND 1,900 billion and tax and fee revenue reached VND 6,200 billion.

Identifying that the socio-economic situation this year still faces many difficulties and challenges, affecting the tax collection task, since the beginning of the year, the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department has synchronously and drastically implemented solutions.

At the conference to summarize the work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024, the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department launched an emulation movement with the slogan: "Discipline, responsibility; innovation, creativity; timeliness, efficiency; emulation and efforts to successfully complete the goals, targets and tasks of tax work in 2024, making achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Tradition Day of the Vietnamese Tax Sector".

Based on the budget estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department also promptly allocated the budget revenue estimate to departments and branches. On January 3, the unit issued Official Dispatch No. 20/CTHTI-NVDTPC on striving to implement the budget revenue estimate for 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Du - Head of the Department of Professional Affairs, Budgeting and Legal Affairs of the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department said: “Based on the allocated targets, we also assigned units to focus on completing the budget collection plan for each quarter and each month. Right in the first month of the new year, the whole industry has launched the collection of business license fees, collected additional amounts during Tet and many other types of taxes and fees. After the Lunar New Year holiday, the Department's leaders also commended a number of units such as Can Loc, Huong Son... for completing the collection of business license fees well.”

Focusing on budget collection, the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department is actively urging enterprises to submit tax declarations; verifying the operating status of enterprises due to failure to submit tax declarations; closely monitoring tax declarations, analyzing and evaluating to detect false declarations and signs of tax evasion in order to conduct inspections and avoid loss of state budget revenue. In addition, the tax sector is also urging enterprises to submit financial reports for 2023; synthesizing tax declaration and settlement data for 2023 and analyzing and assessing risks to serve the inspection and settlement of taxes and fees.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuong - Head of Propaganda and Taxpayer Support Department of Ha Tinh Tax Department said: "We are actively urging businesses to use electronic invoices generated from cash registers; thoroughly instructing businesses in the petroleum business to issue sales invoices each time through electronic pumps. The unit also carries out propaganda and support for taxpayers on tax laws and policies, especially new policies applied in 2024".

Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department also stepped up the implementation of tax debt management and tax debt enforcement in accordance with the process; reviewed the establishment of tax books for business households in each locality, ensuring that 100% of taxpayers with production and business activities are included in management; effectively managed new revenue sources arising from e-commerce transactions and the digital economy; increased collection of taxes on natural resources and minerals...

Synchronously deploying solutions and mobilizing the drastic participation of the entire political system, by February 19 (after 50 days of implementation), the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department had collected and paid to the State budget more than 1,120 billion VND (of which land revenue was 310 billion VND; tax and fee revenue was more than 810 billion VND); reaching 13.8% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council and increasing by 48% over the same period in 2023.

Propaganda work to support businesses in accessing tax policies is regularly implemented by the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department.

The above results contribute to helping the Ha Tinh Provincial Tax Department move faster towards the 2024 target of domestic budget revenue of VND 8,100 billion assigned by the Provincial People's Council, contributing to the successful implementation of the budget revenue task of VND 28,000 billion (including domestic tax and import-export tax) by 2025 as set out in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
