Ha Tinh won high prize at Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival 2023

Nguyen Cong Tru Club (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh ) and Yen Thanh Town Club (Yen Thanh, Nghe An) jointly won first prize at the 2023 Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival. The program is part of the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival.

On the evening of August 5, at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City, Nghe An), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committees of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces held the closing ceremony of the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival 2023.

Attending the program were Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong - Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Phan Dai Nghia - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Provincial Agencies and comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

On the side of Ha Tinh province, there was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau.

The 2023 Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival with the theme "Vi and Giam - Shining Essence" hosted by Nghe An province in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ha Tinh province will take place in Vinh city from July 28 to August 5.

The Festival is a series of exciting cultural activities such as: Folk Song Festival of 3 regions; Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival; "Heritage Colors" Street Festival...

The performance "Finding the Vi and Giam verses" performed by artists and actors from Nghe An Province Traditional Arts Center opened the closing ceremony.

In particular, the Folk Song Festival of 3 regions and the Street Festival "Colors of Heritage" have the participation of 29 provinces and cities nationwide; the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival has the participation of 19 Vi and Giam folk song clubs in the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

Held for the first time, the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival in 2023 has truly brought a new atmosphere, reflecting a new perspective, approach and expression of the traditional cultural heritage of the whole country in general and the Vi and Giam folk song heritage in particular.

The kick-off for the Festival was the Vi and Giam folk song festival held in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, from which 19 excellent clubs were selected to participate in the inter-provincial festival with nearly 700 artists and actors. The festival ended successfully with many impressions; the special performances conveyed to the audience about a beautiful lifestyle, promoting filial piety, respect for parents, praising faithful love, a life of affection, honesty, nobility, and kindness.

Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long - Head of the Organizing Committee delivered a speech summarizing the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival.

In particular, the art program on the opening night of the Festival was meaningful and colorful with the theme "Vi, Giam - Shining Essence", staged in a semi-realistic format combined with modern technology. The program is a night of sound and light, demonstrating the unlimited creativity of artisans and young artists on the core foundation of the heritage values ​​of Nghe Tinh Vi, Giam folk songs. Through the opening art program of the Festival, audiences and tourists nationwide will also have a new perspective on Vi, Giam folk songs today, a type of traditional folk song with a lasting and strong vitality, originating from labor, quietly permeating the soul of Nghe people and spreading strongly in contemporary life.

Along with that, the Street Festival program with the theme "Heritage Colors" on Vinh City's walking street is a combination, convergence and shining of the quintessence of the country's heritage. More than 1,000 artisans, artists, actors of 18 mass art troupes, 18 Vi and Giam folk song clubs and art groups have created a diverse, vibrant, attractive cultural space, attracting people, tourists, especially young people to participate and experience the most unique traditional art forms.

Before the closing ceremony, at Ho Chi Minh Square walking street (Vinh City, Nghe An), a Street Festival program took place with the theme "Colors of Heritage".

The Folk Song and Singing Festival of the Three Regions is an important activity in the series of events of the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival in 2023, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the People's Committee of Nghe An province from August 1 to August 5. The festival has the participation of more than 1,000 artisans, actors, and musicians from 29 mass art troupes from 29 provinces and cities across the country.

Although it only took place for 4 days, the mass art troupes brought to the festival unique programs and art performances, creating a colorful cultural space with different levels of emotions, bringing a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life to watch and cheer.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded prizes to the clubs participating in the 5th Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival in 2023. Nguyen Cong Tru Vi and Giam Folk Song Club (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh) and Yen Thanh Town Vi and Giam Folk Song Club (Yen Thanh, Nghe An) both won first prize.

Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long and Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau awarded first prizes to two folk singing clubs: Vi and Giam by Nguyen Cong Tru (Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh) and Yen Thanh town (Yen Thanh, Nghe An).

The Organizing Committee awarded second prize to 6 Vi and Giam folk singing clubs from 2 provinces.

... and awarded 3rd prize to 11 clubs participating in the 5th Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival in 2023.

At the closing ceremony of the Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival, the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An also announced and awarded gold and silver medals to groups and performances participating in the 2023 Three Regions Folk Song Festival.

Accordingly, the Ha Tinh Province Mass Art Troupe won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals for their performances and 1 silver medal for the entire troupe.

Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong - Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and representatives of Nghe An province awarded gold medal certificates to the delegations participating in the Festival of Folk Songs of the Three Regions.

The Organizing Committee awarded silver medal certificates to the delegations participating in the 2023 Three Regions Folk Song Festival.

The Organizing Committee awarded certificates of 31 gold medals to the performances participating in the 3-region Folk Song Festival.
