Ha Tinh won 6 prizes in the Receptionist Skills Competition in Tourist Accommodation Establishments

Performing excellently in the competitions, the contestants from Ha Tinh won 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 1 C prize and 3 consolation prizes at the Receptionist Competition in Accommodation Facilities of 3 North Central provinces.

On the afternoon of November 16, in Vinh City, the Department of Tourism of Nghe An province coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh to organize the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the Receptionist Skills Competition in tourist accommodation establishments of the three provinces of Thanh Hoa - Nghe An - Ha Tinh.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), along with leaders of the Nghe An Department of Tourism and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh provinces.

Delegates attended the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the competition.

During 2 days (November 15 and 16, 2023), the Receptionist Skills Competition in Accommodation Facilities in 3 provinces of Thanh Hoa - Nghe An - Ha Tinh took place enthusiastically, with the participation of 28 contestants (Ha Tinh delegation had 8 contestants).

The contestants went through 3 rounds: Appearance performance, communication, self-introduction and introduction of tourist accommodation products; drawing lots to answer questions through solving situations at the reception desk and talent competition.

Contestants Tran Thi Tham (Eagle Hotel, Ha Tinh City) presented appearance, communication, self-introduction and introduced tourism accommodation products and services.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 4 C prizes and 9 consolation prizes to the contestants. The Ha Tinh delegation won 6 prizes including: 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 1 C prize and 3 consolation prizes. In which, contestant Truong Thi My Duyen from Eagle Hotel (Ha Tinh City) was 1 of 2 contestants who won A prize at the contest.

The organizing committee awarded 2 A prizes to contestants Truong Thi My Duyen (Ha Tinh) and Nguyen Hong Quan (Nghe An).

This Inter-provincial Receptionist Competition is one of the activities to implement the Memorandum of Understanding on tourism development cooperation for the period 2022 - 2025 signed between the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees of the three provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh.

This is an opportunity for the receptionists of the three provinces to introduce their beauty, appearance, physique, and professionalism in service; introduce tourism products of local accommodation establishments. Thereby, improving their profession; creating opportunities for students of tourism training schools in the North Central region to study and approach the hotel reception profession.
