Organic agriculture is a trend in Vietnamese agriculture in general and Ha Tinh in particular. In recent times, Ha Tinh's agricultural sector has proactively integrated policies and programs to build models applying production practices to ensure food safety such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP, organic...

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, up to now, the province has over 1,896 hectares of crops such as oranges, grapefruits, tea, etc. that have been granted VietGAP and GlobalGAP certificates. In addition, there are 3 aquaculture facilities certified by VietGAP; 8 livestock farms certified by VietGAHP; 14 agricultural and aquatic product processing facilities with HACCP certificates; 11 agricultural and aquatic product processing facilities with GMP and ISO certificates; 6 agricultural and aquatic product processing facilities with GMP certificates; 4 processing facilities with ISO certificates.

There are also 22 certified safe product supply chains in the area with products such as Phuc Trach grapefruit, oranges, lemons, vegetables, tea, pork, chicken, deer antlers, seafood, and rice.

Organic pig farming model associated with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company of Mr. Truong Xuan Ha (Cam Minh, Cam Xuyen).

In particular, the whole province has formed 60 organic production models; including 47 models of rice, vegetable and fruit production with a total area of ​​over 421 hectares in 10 districts, towns and cities and 13 organic pig farming models with a scale of 113 sows and 961 pigs.

Specifically, in the field of cultivation, there are nearly 201 hectares of organic production and more than 220 hectares of organic production. In the field of livestock, there are 12 organic pig farming models in association with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company (scale of 82 sows, 591 pigs) and 1 cooperative group of organic wild boar farming with 7 households (scale of 31 sows, 370 pigs).

It is known that with the goal of creating high, sustainable, environmentally friendly added value associated with circular agriculture serving domestic consumption and export, Ha Tinh is currently building a project to develop organic agriculture in Ha Tinh province for the period 2023 - 2030.
