This phenomenon has been warned by the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting because the capital and the northern provinces have recently experienced hot weather. Mr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that hot weather is not a favorable condition for the storm to enter or not enter the North. However, when the hot weather turns to rain, specifically the rain before the storm on September 6 in the Northeast and Hanoi, there will be a higher risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes, and lightning. At 1 p.m. this afternoon, the location of super typhoon Yagi was at about 19.8 degrees north latitude; 111.2 degrees east longitude, in the sea northeast of Hainan Island, about 450 km east southeast of Quang Ninh. The super typhoon is level 16 (184 - 201 km/h), gusting above level 17, moving west-northwest, at a speed of 15 - 20 km/h.
People were surprised because the weather suddenly turned stormy.

The storm was at level 14, gusting to level 17. In the following hours, typhoon Yagi continued to move inland at a speed of 20 km/h and made landfall in the Quang Ninh - Nam Dinh area. At 1:00 p.m. on September 7, typhoon Yagi was located at 20.9 degrees north latitude; 107.2 degrees east longitude in the coastal areas of Quang Ninh - Nam Dinh provinces. In addition, the Northeast region, provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien - Hue will have thunderstorms today due to the impact of the outer ring of super typhoon Yagi. Due to the influence of super typhoon Yagi, from the night of September 6 to 9, in the North and Thanh Hoa regions, there is a possibility of heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with total rainfall ranging from 100 - 350 mm, in some places over 500 mm (the heaviest rain in the Northeast will be concentrated during the day and night of September 7, in the Northwest from the evening of September 7 to 9).
