On the evening of February 3, a representative of the Institute of Geophysics said that at 7:52 p.m., an earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale occurred in Chuong My district (Hanoi).
According to the Institute of Geophysics, the earthquake occurred at coordinates 20.860 degrees North latitude, 105.582 degrees East longitude, with a focal depth of about 8km.
The Institute of Geophysics assessed the disaster risk level of this earthquake as level 0.
Due to the impact of the earthquake, people living in some places in Chuong My and My Duc districts (Hanoi) clearly felt the shaking.
Mr. Minh Duc (My Duc district) said that he felt the shaking for 3-5 seconds, so he suspected an earthquake. On social networks, many people also posted information about feeling the shaking phenomenon.
Currently, authorities are continuing to monitor and evaluate to make an official conclusion about this earthquake.
