Hanoi: Private high schools are assigned lower 10th grade enrollment quotas than last year.

Accordingly, only 77 private high schools are assigned enrollment quotas for 635 10th graders.

Among them, the schools assigned the most quotas are: Luong The Vinh Secondary - High School, Hoang Mai High School, Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary & High School with 675 quotas.

The group of schools assigned with 600 or more quotas includes: Van Lang High School, Ly Thai To High School, Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Marie Curie Long Bien Secondary-High School, Lac Long Quan High School, Doan Thi Diem High School, Phan Huy Chu High School.

Some schools next school year have low enrollment targets, only 50 - 70 students.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has assigned nearly 80,000 grade 10 enrollment quotas to public schools and nearly 28,000 grade 10 enrollment quotas to private schools.

Last year, in the first phase, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also assigned 29,636 10th grade enrollment quotas to 85 private high schools. However, the department later continued to assign additional enrollment quotas to a number of qualified schools.

Thus, compared to last year, this year, the number of private high schools assigned enrollment quotas for the first round also decreased by 8 schools and nearly 1,700 quotas.

It is known that currently Hanoi has more than 100 private high schools in operation.

According to the Department of Education and Training, before assigning enrollment targets for the new school year, the unit will establish inspection teams to inspect facilities, staff, etc., and then assign appropriate enrollment targets to ensure student rights.

This school year, Hanoi has 127,000 students taking the junior high school graduation exam. In the 2025-2026 school year, public schools are assigned to enroll nearly 80,000 students, and private high schools are assigned to enroll nearly 28,000 students.
