Authorities are actively demolishing the "Shark Jaw" building to renovate, refurbish and reconstruct the space in the Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square area.
Accordingly, business units at the "Shark Jaw" building have stopped operating and are moving furniture so that the building operator can be ready to hand over the premises to the district.Hoan Kiem (Hanoi) carried out demolition.

Business units at the "Shark Jaws" building are cleaning up to restore the premises. Business operations at the "Shark Jaws" building have ceased since April 21. The "Shark Jaw" building was built from around 1991 to 1993, managed by Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco). After Hanoi demolishes the "Shark Jaw" building and combines it with the surrounding streets, it will create a space of about 1.2 hectares to serve the community, and 3 basements will be built below this area. The cleaning work was carried out urgently because this location is located in the center of Hanoi capital. It is expected that after April 30, the authorities will demolish the "Shark Jaw" building to renovate, refurbish and reconstruct the space in the Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square area. There has been a proposal to demolish the "Shark Jaw" building without taking money from the budget, but using materials and construction waste from this project. Hanoi plans to relocate many agency headquarters and households to make a square - park on an area of about 2.1 hectares. Below this area will be a tunnel and underground space connecting station C9 of urban railway line No. 2, Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao section.
