Hanoi promotes investment, trade and tourism cooperation with Africa

DNVN - The conference "Promoting Investment, Trade and Tourism between Vietnam and South Africa" ​​with the theme "Hanoi Destination - Opportunities and potential for cooperation" is an important event, a good opportunity to enhance investment, trade and tourism promotion activities between Hanoi and African partners.

The conference "Promoting Investment, Trade, Tourism Vietnam - South Africa" ​​organized by Hanoi City in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa aims to promote the investment and business environment of Hanoi City; promote promotion activities, boost cooperation, economic development, especially cooperation in promoting investment, trade, tourism, and export of goods with the market, partners in the African region in general, and South African partners in particular.

With the theme “ Hanoi Destination – Opportunities and potential for cooperation”, the conference is an important event, a good opportunity to enhance investment, trade and tourism promotion activities between Hanoi and African partners.

The event was attended by a delegation from Hanoi City, nearly 200 invited delegates including Mr. Mtho Xulu - President of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and many South African businesses in the fields of investment, trade and tourism.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee spoke at the conference "Promoting Investment, Trade and Tourism between Vietnam and South Africa".

With over 1,000 years of history and a diverse cultural heritage system, Hanoi has been affirming its position as a safe and attractive destination for international tourists and investors. In recent years, the city has continuously improved its investment environment, enhanced the quality of management, created favorable conditions for businesses, thereby contributing to socio-economic development.

Entering the stage of deep international integration, Hanoi considers the business community, especially foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, as an important driving force for development. The city aims to attract sustainable investment, prioritize projects with high added value, promote the application of information technology and transparency in planning and land use.

The city is focusing on promoting investment in value-added sectors such as agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare and key sectors such as electric vehicle development, electric vehicle batteries, pharmaceuticals and industrial equipment. At the same time, Hanoi also encourages cooperation with South Africa in the fields of agricultural product processing, minerals, environmental resource protection and wildlife conservation.

The conference is an opportunity for businesses and investors in South Africa to learn about the investment and business environment, policies to attract and encourage investment when producing and doing business in Hanoi. Introduce commercial products, key craft villages, unique cultural and tourist destinations, and attractive cuisine of Hanoi.
