According to the Hanoi Department of Transport, the project to urgently improve infrastructure and organize traffic at several intersections and routes to reduce traffic congestion (phase 1) has a total estimated investment of nearly 225 billion VND, funded by the Hanoi People's Committee budget. Of this, construction costs account for over 188 billion VND. The project is scheduled for implementation between 2024 and 2027.

Accordingly, adjustments will be made to the size of sidewalks and median strips, and traffic organization will be implemented at several intersections on seven roads: Giang Vo, Lang Ha, Le Van Luong, To Huu, Hoang Dao Thuy, Hoang Minh Giam, and Khuat Duy Tien. These are all roads with particularly high traffic density and frequent congestion during peak hours.
In particular, the Giang Vo, Lang Ha, Le Van Luong, and To Huu routes, located on the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) line, are central traffic arteries. Due to the concentration of vehicles entering and exiting the central area, traffic volume increases significantly, especially during peak hours, causing traffic congestion.
Investing in the construction of projects, upgrading infrastructure, and urgently organizing traffic at several intersections and routes to minimize traffic congestion (phase 1) will contribute to improving traffic flow, reducing congestion, and fostering public awareness when using public transportation; thereby contributing to promoting socio -economic development in the areas through which the route passes.
