On the afternoon of October 8, Hanoi City held a launching ceremony and launched the campaign to respond to National Digital Transformation Day and Hanoi Digital Transformation Day 2024 (October 10).
At the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai called on members of nearly 5,000 community digital transformation teams to "go to every alley, knock on every door", guiding each citizen to use services and applications to develop the digital economy and digital society.
Community digital transformation teams continue to guide and support people to participate in the digital transformation process; train digital skills for workers, students and pupils, building a generation of citizens capable of adapting to technology and mastering the future.
In particular, in the spirit of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day, the city launched the “3 ready” movement: ready with smartphones, internet connection and iHanoi installed; ready with electronic identification and bank account registration; ready with technology skills, information security and culture in cyberspace.
Over the past 2 years, Hanoi has achieved many positive results in the digital transformation process. In particular, digital government has been strongly deployed with 100% of eligible public services provided online at levels 3 and 4, helping people and businesses access public services quickly and transparently, through the online service system platform (successfully processed more than 2.5 million online records).
Hanoi successfully piloted electronic health records and issued criminal records via VneID, creating a basis for the Government to deploy nationwide; social security payment services and non-cash pension payments have also been deployed synchronously and effectively, basically reaching over 90% so far.
In particular, Hanoi has built and deployed the application "Citizens of the Digital Capital - iHaNoi". This application has become an effective online interaction channel between people, businesses and the city government.
Regarding the digital economy, there are nearly 5,000 digital technology enterprises operating. E-commerce has grown strongly with revenue increasing by 40% compared to 2023. More than 90% of large enterprises in Hanoi have switched to cashless payments, contributing to improving management and business efficiency. Electronic tax declaration and payment reached 99%.
Regarding digital society, nearly 5,000 community digital transformation teams with more than 30,000 active members bring digital transformation to every corner, knock on every door, helping people grasp and experience digital services. More than 60% of the working-age population is trained in basic digital skills, creating a solid foundation for building a generation of smart digital citizens.
The theme of National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) in 2024 is "Universalizing digital infrastructure and innovating digital applications to develop the digital economy - New driving force for economic growth and labor productivity".
