With a prominent green house on An Duong Street (Tay Ho District), the coffee shop named Nirvana Space is one of the places many celebrities and young people visit because of its uniquely designed space, with many entertainment activities, fairs, movie screenings, etc.
Many famous people have come and checked in at the restaurant such as: Diva Hong Nhung, rapper Wxrdie, Suboi, Low G, Tlinh...
Last April, Tim Cook – head of Apple technology company – visited the shop during a trip to Hanoi to learn more about street art and how content creators here create impressive artistic products.
As soon as he entered the shop, the Apple CEO was surprised and expressed his interest, giving many compliments to the passionate works, strong personalities and creative space (Photo: Character provided).
It is known that Phuong Vu, Yen Ji and Anh Trung are the founders of the restaurant.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter about the unforgettable memories during the visit of Apple CEO, Anh Trung said: "There were works that he walked around and admired for a long time. After that, he expressed his impression of the creativity of his team members."
Originating from the image of demons in childhood cartoons, Anh Trung revealed that Phuong Vu (co-founder of Nirvana Space) was the one who named the restaurant “Nirvana”, meaning “nirvana”.
“This name has nothing to do with Buddhism. We have long wanted a creative space, a place where anyone can come and be themselves,” said Trung.
Currently, the shop is operating on 2 floors. The first floor impresses with a sparkling brewing area, like a colorful forest. Customers can enjoy a cup of coffee next to a skeleton, and admire unique paintings and models.
Inspired by street fashion and unique perspectives on the devil in hell, each wall of the cafe is always filled with mischievous drawings, tables, chairs, paper boxes, light bulbs and even giant characters built through the floors of the building...
On the second floor, the high ceiling is optimized with colorful glass panels, creating a great contrast. This area stands out with the wall densely decorated with radio stations, creating a retro virtual background, with a nostalgic style of the 90s.
In particular, on weekends, the restaurant often organizes movie screenings with tickets priced at 25,000-50,000 VND/ticket. The restaurant also serves popcorn and cakes so that customers can watch movies and enjoy delicious food.
The cafe's demon figures use mostly recycled cement materials, designed and shaped by hand.
Drinks at the shop cost between 40,000 and 60,000 VND per cup. Many young people think that this is a reasonable price compared to other coffee shops in Hanoi.
“The cups here, some are made by us, some are from containers. When we first opened the shop, every weekend we went to the second-hand market in Ha Dong and looked for unique things. Whenever we saw something interesting or unique, we picked it up, gradually becoming a huge collection of cups,” Trung shared.
Minh Quang (middle, 23 years old, Hanoi) shared: “During the fair days of the shop, I met many famous people. The drinks here are quite delicious and beautiful, but not diverse, I hope the shop will improve in the future.”
Hoang Anh (21 years old, Thai Binh) often comes to the shop and buys some small accessories. He shared: “I feel like I am in another world. However, the space here is quite colorful, sometimes causing a “confusing” feeling, suitable for young people with personality, who like to find new spaces.”
Many young people also come to check-in at the art corners of the shop.
