A representative of Hanoi Metro Company Limited said that two urban railway lines (Cat Linh-Ha Dong, Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station) will run through New Year's Eve.
The extension of train running time on New Year's Eve aims to meet the maximum travel needs of the capital's people and tourists to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025 and experience green - clean - safe interconnected services.
Before January 26 (27th of Tet) and after February 1 (4th of Tet), train running time will be as follows: Weekdays, from 5:30 am to 10 pm, every 10 minutes/trip, every 6 minutes/trip during rush hour. Saturday and Sunday: from 5:30 am to 10 pm, every 10 minutes/trip.
On January 28 (29th of Lunar New Year), the train runs until 2am on January 29. On the first day of Lunar New Year (January 29), the train departs at 10am, on the second day of Lunar New Year (January 29), the train departs at 8am, on the third day of Lunar New Year (January 29), the train departs at 6am and both end at 10pm.
From February 3, the day back to work after Tet holiday, train running time is from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, every 10 minutes/trip, every 6 minutes/trip during rush hour. Saturday, Sunday, holidays: Train running time is from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm, every 10 minutes/trip.
Regarding the bus system, Transerco said that before and after the Lunar New Year (from January 24, 2025 (December 25) and before and from February 2 onwards: Follow the schedule and daily service targets.
For the Lunar New Year period: From January 25 to February 2 (December 26 to the 5th day of Tet): Follow the Tet holiday chart.
Specifically: On the 26th of Tet, the wharf opens at 4:30 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. On the 27th of Tet, the wharf opens at 5:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m. On the 28th of Tet, the wharf opens at 5:30 a.m. and closes at 10:30 p.m. On the 29th of Tet, the wharf opens at 6:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m.
On the first day of Tet, the ferry opens at 10:00 and closes at 18:00; on the second day, it opens at 8:00 and closes at 19:30; on the third day, it opens at 6:30 and closes at 20:30; on the fourth day, it opens at 6:00 and closes at 21:00.
This unit also has backup vehicles ready to increase clearance when there is a sudden increase in passengers.
