Districts with many patients this week are Ha Dong (174 cases), Phu Xuyen (161 cases), Cau Giay (150 cases), Dan Phuong (145 cases), Hoang Mai (141 cases), Dong Da (138 cases), Thanh Oai (135 cases), Ba Dinh (124 cases), Nam Tu Liem (120 cases), Chuong My (107 cases), Thanh Tri (101 cases), Thanh Xuan (100 cases).
If in July and the first week of August 2023, the number of dengue fever cases in Hanoi was only about 500-600 cases/week, then from the second week of August onwards, the number of cases increased to 1,000 cases.

From mid-September 2023 to now, the number of cases has increased dramatically from 2,200 to 2,400 cases/week. Last week was the week with a record number of cases since the beginning of the year (more than 2,400 cases/week).
Accumulated from the beginning of 2023 to now, Hanoi has had 12,776 cases of dengue fever (3.5 times higher than the same period in 2022), including 3 deaths. Districts with many patients since the beginning of the year are: Hoang Mai (968 cases), Thach That (889 cases), Thanh Tri (828 cases), Ha Dong (781 cases), Phu Xuyen (764 cases), Dong Da (715 cases), Cau Giay (708 cases), Nam Tu Liem (643 cases), Dan Phuong (593 cases), Bac Tu Liem (549 cases), Thanh Oai (533 cases).
Also last week, Hanoi recorded 95 dengue fever outbreaks in 19 districts, towns and cities; of which Bac Tu Liem district had 14 outbreaks; followed by Hoang Mai district with 13 outbreaks; Dong Da district with 11 outbreaks... This is also the week with the highest number of outbreaks since the beginning of the year.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, Hanoi has recorded 870 outbreaks. There are currently 257 outbreaks operating in 26 districts, towns, and cities, of which some outbreaks have recorded many patients such as: Huu Bang Commune - Thach That District with 327 patients;
Phung Xa commune - Thach That district has 74 patients; Dong village - Cao Vien commune - Thanh Oai district has 65 patients...
According to the Hanoi CDC, the city is entering the peak of the dengue fever epidemic. With the current climate and weather conditions, the epidemic situation is forecast to continue to develop complicatedly in the coming weeks.
Faced with this situation, Hanoi CDC has requested units to strengthen monitoring of mosquito larvae and dengue fever-transmitting mosquitoes in areas with cases, outbreaks, and high-risk areas, thereby deploying appropriate and timely response activities.
This week, dengue fever prevention and control work continues to be deployed at outbreak areas in the following districts: Gia Lam, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Phu Xuyen, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, Dong Da, Tay Ho.
