Accordingly, 119 public high schools in Hanoi this year will enroll a total of about 80,000 students in grade 10.

This year, in the public sector, some schools increased their quotas such as Viet Duc High School, Da Phuc High School (Soc Son) and Thuong Tin High School (Thuong Tin) with an increase of 135 students compared to last year; Tran Phu High School (Hoan Kiem), Kim Lien High School, Yen Hoa High School, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Xuan Dinh High School, My Dinh High School... also increased by 90 students compared to last year.

On the contrary, Phung Khac Khoan High School (Thach That) is the school with the strongest reduction in enrollment quotas with 135 quotas.

Hanoi currently has four specialized high schools, including Hanoi - Amsterdam (Ams), Nguyen Hue, Chu Van An and Son Tay. This year, these four schools will enroll 2,730 specialized students.

Also this afternoon, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also assigned enrollment targets for the 10th grade next school year to 29 vocational education and continuing education centers in the city. The total target assigned to the centers is 270 classes with 12,080 students. Vocational education and continuing education centers organize enrollment for 10th grade based on the results of training and studying of students at the junior high school level (if a grade is repeated, the results of the re-study year of that grade will be used). Students wishing to apply for admission to vocational education and continuing education centers will submit their applications from April 21.

In 2025, Hanoi set the time to organize the 10th grade entrance exam on June 7 and 8.

The formula for calculating the admission score (ADS) for grade 10 in Hanoi this year is as follows:

DXT = Math score + Literature score + Foreign language score + priority score (if any) + incentive score (if any).

This school year, Hanoi has about 127,000 junior high school graduates, a decrease of nearly 6,000 compared to last year.
