Hanoi has 22 new roads and streets

On the morning of July 2, at the 17th Session of the 16th City People's Council, term 2021-2026, with a rate of more than 91%, delegates voted to pass the Resolution on naming and adjusting the length of a number of roads, streets, and public works in Hanoi in 2024.

Delegates passed the resolution at the meeting.

Specifically, 22 roads and streets have been given new names, including:

Phuong Bai Street, Dong Dau Street, Hoang Trinh Thanh Street, Nguyen Van Luyen Street (Ha Dong District);

Cu Khoi Street, Hoa Dong Street, Nguyen Gia Bong Street, Dong Thanh Street, Quan Tinh Street, Vo Trung Street (Long Bien District);

Ly Dam Street, Trieu Tuc Street (Hoai Duc District);

Phu Luu Te Street, My Ha Street, Sat No Street, Ha Xa Street, Trung Nghia Street, Trinh Tiet Street, Thuong Tiet Street (My Duc District);

Tran Thi Bac Street (Soc Son district);

Quang Liet Street, Phuong Dung Street (Thanh Tri District).

Adjust the length of 03 streets, including:

Huynh Thuc Khang Street (Dong Da District): For the section from the end of Huynh Thuc Khang Street at the intersection of Nguyen Chi Thanh - Huynh Thuc Khang to the intersection of Cau Giay Street at Icon4 Tower building. Length: 1,290m, width 30m (Roadway 15m, sidewalks on each side 7.5m);

Phao Dai Lang Street (Dong Da District): For the section from the intersection of Nguyen Chi Thanh - Huynh Thuc Khang to No. 8 Phao Dai Lang (opposite the Hydrometeorological Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment). Adjusted: 90m, width: 30m;

Le Mat Street (Long Bien District): For the section from the end of Le Mat Street (next to Le Mat communal house and pagoda) to the intersection of Dao Dinh Luyen Street (next to house number 15, residential group 8, Viet Hung Ward). Length: 460m, width 13.5m (roadway 7.5m, sidewalks on each side 3m).

Name 2 public works, including:

Long Bien Park (Long Bien district), area 157,237m2;

Ngoc Thuy Park (Long Bien district), area 68,554m2.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, by the end of 2023, the entire city of Hanoi will have 1,390 avenues, roads, streets, alleys and public works named, of which, there are 860 streets, 322 roads, 01 avenue, 41 public works, 166 alleys. Classified by name, there are 582 routes, streets, alleys and public works named after famous people; 576 routes named after places; 232 routes with other names.
