On October 22, in Xa Phin village, Phuong Tien commune, Vi Xuyen district (Ha Giang), the "Golden Season - Moss House Village" Festival 2023 took place.
Attending the festival were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang, leaders of Vi Xuyen district, travel and tourism businesses and a large number of locals and tourists.
Located at an altitude of over 1,000 m above sea level, hidden under the Tay Con Linh mountain range, Xa Phin village is home to the Dao ethnic group; blessed by nature with a cool climate, majestic and beautiful landscape, people with long-standing terraced farming techniques, palm-roofed houses covered with moss; unique highland cuisine with salmon, sturgeon, black chicken, pickled bamboo shoots, wild vegetables and many unique cultural features of the Dao people create an attractive Xa Phin, inviting tourists, especially during the rice harvest season.
The "Golden Season - Moss House Village" Festival in 2023 only takes place on October 22 but still has many exciting, unique and interesting activities such as: Folk art performances of ethnic groups; rice harvesting competition; ethnic sports competitions; introducing traditional cuisine; displaying typical agricultural products of the commune; pounding rice cakes; displaying beautiful images of the landscape and culture of ethnic groups in the area; walking to explore the moss house area, ancient Shan Tuyet tea forest, terraced fields, Cardamom forest, Deer waterfall...
"Golden Season - Moss House Village" in 2023 left many good impressions in the hearts of locals and tourists. This is an opportunity to honor the cultural and labor values; the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties and rising up in the lives of the highland people here. At the same time, promoting the image of friendly and hospitable people, the unique culture of the Mong ethnic group and the golden season scenery in Xa Phin, the beauty of nature, a meeting place for tourists from far away who love to explore.
Vice Chairman of Phuong Tien Commune People's Committee Can Van Hien said that in the first 10 months of 2023, Xa Phin village welcomed over 12,000 tourists to visit and experience.
"With many potentials and advantages for tourism development such as majestic and poetic natural landscapes; hospitable and sincere local people; and many traditional cultural features with strong identities still preserved; the Party Committee and the communal government have determined to focus on building Xa Phin village into a typical community cultural tourism village. At the same time, mobilizing people to clean up village roads and alleys, renovating house grounds to provide homestay services", Vice Chairman of Phuong Tien People's Committee Can Van Hien affirmed.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ha, a tourist from Phu Tho province said: “This place is very beautiful, the people live with affection. Xa Phin village has just been invested in upgrading and expanding the road to make transportation more convenient for tourists, this is a good thing and very exciting”.
