Ha Giang discovered more than 2 tons of pesticides of unknown origin

NDO - Information from Ha Giang Provincial Police said that affiliated units have just conducted an inspection and discovered a truck transporting more than 26,000 packages of herbicides of unknown origin.

Specifically, at km07+900, National Highway 4C (section through Hoa Bac village, Thuan Hoa commune, Vi Xuyen district), the traffic patrol and control team of the Traffic Police Department, Ha Giang Provincial Police discovered and arrested a truck with license plate 12B-010.02 driven by Nguyen Van Vung, born in 1989, residing in Lien Lac village, Vu Lang commune, Bac Son district, Lang Son province. The truck was transporting goods without documents proving their origin.

Seeing signs of transporting prohibited goods, the working group transferred all documents, vehicles, exhibits and related individuals to the Economic Police Department, Ha Giang Provincial Police for further handling according to authority.

The Economic Police Department, Ha Giang Provincial Police, coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect, weigh and identify the types of the above goods.

The inspection results determined that the vehicle contained 222 green-gray pineapple sacks, inside were cardboard boxes containing more than 26 packages of pesticides (herbicides) of unknown origin, with a total weight of 2.2 tons. The case is currently under further investigation and clarification for handling according to legal regulations.
