Ha Giang enters the most beautiful season of the year, attracting a large number of visitors to see buckwheat flowers.
According to VnExpress , since the end of October, the number of tourists has begun to increase in Ha Giang. Large vehicles carrying many passengers cause slight traffic jams on weekends, especially on the section down to Nho Que River. Some sections under road repair such as Km19+500, Km21+300 also make it more difficult for tourists to travel on weekends.
In the first 9 months of this year, Ha Giang welcomed about 2.1 million visitors. Mr. Lai Quoc Tinh, Chairman of the Ha Giang Tourism Association, forecasts that by the end of the year, the province will welcome about one million more visitors.
Mr. Tinh said that at the end of the year, visitors tend to flock to Ha Giang to see buckwheat flowers, peach blossoms, and plum blossoms. Many provinces in Vietnam grow buckwheat flowers, but nowhere has such beautiful "buckwheat flower fields" as Ha Giang, causing the number of visitors to increase sharply.
Accommodation and tourism transport businesses in the province have also recorded positive signals. A representative of H'mong Village Resort (Quan Ba) said that they have not yet counted the number of visitors, but the signal in November is "extremely positive". During the last three weekends (November 3-5), the resort reached 100% room occupancy. The facility has 25 bungalows and a community guesthouse, accommodating about 130 people.
Bui Van Phuong, manager of Bang Phan bus company - which owns 6 buses running from Hanoi to Ha Giang - said that the bus occupancy rate has increased significantly compared to previous months. On weekdays since mid-October, the occupancy rate has increased from 50% to 70%. On weekends, the bus company often achieves a 100% occupancy rate.
"November is considered the peak season for tourism in Ha Giang. Tourists planning to travel should book early to avoid running out of weekend tickets," said Mr. Phuong.
Previously, from October 27 to October 29, Ha Giang organized a buckwheat flower festival. According to a representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Giang province, in three days, the province welcomed 3,459 foreign visitors and 54,921 domestic visitors. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 137.1 billion VND. On October 27 alone, the number of tourists to Ha Giang was 19,500, of which 1,100 were foreign visitors, with total tourism revenue estimated at 45.8 billion VND. The bed and room occupancy rate is estimated at 100%.
In November, Ha Giang enters winter, so the weather is colder, especially at night. The highlight of Ha Giang in November is the fields of buckwheat flowers with a light pink color. According to many travel agencies in Ha Giang, tourists tend to depart from Hanoi, rent a bus to Ha Giang, then rent a motorbike to drive along the route from Quan Ba to Yen Minh, Dong Van, Meo Vac and then turn back to feel the majesty of the mountains and forests here.
