Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested localities to quickly implement procedures to soon have land to serve the needs of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.
On the morning of February 13, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and a working delegation from the Government and ministries and branches conducted a field inspection at the intersection of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway component 2 project and the T1 road connecting Long Thanh airport.

Here, the delegation listened to the investor and contractor report on difficulties and problems with construction materials on the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.
Reporting to the working delegation, Mr. Pham Van Minh, Director of Project Management Board 85 (Ministry of Transport) said that up to now, the output of component 2 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project has only reached 26%.
According to Mr. Minh, the biggest difficulty on the route is still the supply of fill soil, still lacking 3 million m3. The construction units are striving to complete this part of the land by the end of May, but there is no soil.
The current shortage of fill soil in component project 2 is over 3 million m3.
"Currently, the peak effort is to try to fill 30,000m3 of soil per day to complete the foundation after the dry season. In reality, only about 1.3 million m3 of soil has been filled so far. At the current filling speed, the soil will run out in the next 30 days if we don't continue to solve the problem," said Mr. Minh.
According to Mr. Minh, the Project Management Board proposed that Dong Nai province approve lowering Phuoc Binh hill to increase the mining reserves to serve the project.
"If the ground level is lowered, there will be enough output to serve the project. In addition, the unit also found the Long Giao mine in Cam My district and is in the process of applying for exploitation to serve the project," Mr. Minh added.
Representative of Truong Son contractor reported to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha about difficulties in the project construction process.
A representative of the Central Construction Group Corporation said that according to research, the Phuoc Binh mine area is a hill and can be lowered to the general elevation of the area of 25, without affecting the surrounding area and enough to meet the land needs for the project.
A representative of Truong Son Construction Corporation said that currently, in addition to the filled land, Dong Nai has a number of locations with unfinished ground right in the bridge construction area.
According to the plan, all bridges on the route must be completed by September, so we hope the locality will clear the land soon.
Regarding this content, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, said that recently the province and related units have worked to resolve the land filling for the project.
According to Mr. Duc, Dong Nai has many mines that are redoing procedures, so they are also making efforts to serve the projects soon.
"Basically, the locality agreed to lower the hill level in Phuoc Binh and consider the Long Giao mine. Currently, the provincial leaders have assigned the office to quickly resolve the issue to support the construction," said Mr. Duc.
Construction of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway is accelerating during the dry season.
After listening to the reports from the units, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested to consider lowering the mine level but not negative, not creating concavities, down to the general ground level to be both beautiful and suitable for the general planning of the area.
"Localities should try to quickly process procedures to quickly support projects. Project Management Board 85 must report in detail, specifically, and on material needs. Try to move the bridge construction site and technical infrastructure in February to speed up project progress," the Deputy Prime Minister requested.
The delegation presented gifts to workers constructing the expressway and T1 road.
During the inspection visit, the Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation also presented gifts to engineers and workers constructing the T1 road connecting Long Thanh airport and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.
