Sending messages to spread a reading culture in the community.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has sent a document to the Ministry of Science and Technology requesting support in sending text messages to mobile network users to spread reading culture in the community on Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day nationwide.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the Ministry of Science and Technology to facilitate and direct telecommunications units to provide free text messages to mobile network users (Viettel, Vinaphone, Mobiphone) to encourage and develop the reading movement, create a favorable reading environment, build reading habits in families, schools, agencies, organizations and communities...; develop books and reading culture in the community, contribute to building a system of cultural values, human standards of Vietnamese people and serve political tasks.

The target audience for the message is mobile network users, with priority given to densely populated provinces. The message content reads: On the occasion of the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21, 2025), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism calls on organizations, businesses, and readers nationwide to join hands in spreading the love of books, honoring the value of books, honoring writers and publishers; so that every citizen becomes an ambassador of reading culture, every family and community becomes a space for reading culture; and together we can step into the era of national development, realizing the aspiration to make Vietnam a developed country by 2025.
