The Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 includes the UIM-ABP Aquabike Race (March 22-24) and the UIM F1H2O International Powerboat Race (March 29-31). The Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 is part of the racing tournament organized by the International Powerboat Federation (UIM). The race has two categories held in Vietnam: UIM-F1H2O powerboat racing and UIM-ABP jetboat racing.

This is the first time Vietnam has organized a powerboat racing event within the framework of the international professional season, with the participation of more than 70 athletes, including veteran racers from many countries around the world. The venue is Thi Nai Lagoon - a place chosen by the organizers because it meets the criteria such as large water surface area, good water level and wind strength to ensure safety for the racing teams. Currently, Binh Dinh province is strengthening the communication of the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024. In particular, recently, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has issued Official Dispatch No. 1888/UBND-VX to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally run cities requesting support in information and propaganda about the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024. Accordingly, in order to contribute to effectively implementing the tasks assigned by the Government, promoting diplomatic work, expanding cultural, sports, tourism cooperation and international cooperation through the racing event, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province requests the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally run cities to pay attention to directing agencies and functional units to support information and propaganda, widely introducing the motorboat racing and sideline activities and events. The Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 is also an opportunity to enhance the image and services of the Vietnamese tourism industry; as well as developing the strengths of unique sea tourism, diversifying tourism types of Binh Dinh province; creating another destination to attract tourism, entertainment and investment. Accordingly, in order to help tourists, especially international visitors participating in the motorboat race, have the opportunity to experience and learn about the culture, history and people when coming to Binh Dinh, local travel agencies have launched many attractive tour programs with preferential and suitable prices. Currently, in the province, there are 435 accommodation establishments with over 13,600 rooms, including 1 5-star hotel, 12 4-star hotels, 15 3-star hotels, 79 1-2 star hotels and 328 standard accommodation establishments. Most of the hotels have been carefully prepared very early to welcome the expected number of 30-50 thousand tourists who will flock here to watch the race. Notably, up to this point, 13 3-4 star hotels in the area have registered to reduce room rates by 30-50%; food, beverage and other service prices are reduced by 10% from March 1 to April 15. The People's Committee of Binh Dinh province has also assigned the Binh Dinh Department of Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units with the Binh Dinh Tourism Association and the Binh Dinh Culinary Culture Association to mobilize more tourism service businesses to participate in the policy of supporting discounts for delegates attending the UIM F1H2O International Professional Powerboat Race and the UIM ABP-Aquabike Binh Dinh Grand Prix 2024. Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province emphasized that this international sports tournament is an opportunity for tourists around the world to learn more about Quy Nhon City and Binh Dinh Province. Fans will be able to watch highly skilled racers conquer the waves and race for first place in this exciting event. Binh Dinh province is committed to creating the best conditions for the tournament to be successful and hopes that the tournament will become an annual race in Binh Dinh.
