These are the 7th and 8th bridges under the "Building Bridges to School" project, jointly implemented by the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund and Grab Vietnam. The project aims to provide children in disadvantaged areas with more convenient and safer access to school, helping to improve their living environment, promote social and economic development in the locality, and contribute to the national program for building new rural areas.

Grab has just started construction on the 7th and 8th bridges as part of its "Building Bridges to School" project.

Surveying, assessing the current situation, planning, and selecting the construction unit were completed in January 2023 through a collaboration between the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund, the Lai Chau Provincial Children's Protection Fund, the Nam Nhun District People's Committee, and Grab Vietnam. The two combined bridge and spillway projects have a total cost of 2.1 billion VND, of which 1.7 billion VND was donated by Grab Vietnam and its users, along with 400 million VND in matching funds from the local government. Upon completion, the project will help more than 7,000 students, teachers, and residents of Nam Hang and Nam Ban communes travel safely and conveniently, facilitating trade and contributing to local economic development.

Mr. Alejandro Osorio, CEO of Grab Vietnam, shared: "We are delighted that two more bridges in the 'Building Bridges to School' project have commenced construction and are expected to be handed over this year. We understand that contributing to improving infrastructure in areas like Nam O and Huoi Pet villages is of practical significance to students, teachers, and local people in general."
