Contribute more resources to build shelters for the poor in Dien Bien province

Together with the whole country, to create a Dien Bien Phu "famous in five continents, shaking the earth", the army and people of Thanh Hoa have made many great contributions in terms of human resources and resources for the victorious campaign. Promoting the tradition of solidarity, over the years, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province have always given the best sentiments to the people of Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces through many specific actions to help materially and spiritually, including supporting the construction of great solidarity houses for poor households.

Contribute more resources to build shelters for the poor in Dien Bien province Leaders of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee received support for building solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Thanh Hoa province.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support the program of building solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province with the theme: "Millions of loving hearts - Thousands of happy roofs", in Thach Thanh district, although only deployed for a short time, it has received the active participation of all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole district.

Ms. Pham Thi Quyen, Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thach Thanh district, said: “To effectively implement, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thach Thanh district made a report to ask for the opinion of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on the policy of mobilizing support for the construction of great solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province. After the policy was issued, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of the district coordinated with the Center for Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of the district to widely propagate on the radio system to a large number of people to turn to heroic Dien Bien with specific and practical actions and deeds”.

At the same time, the Fatherland Front of Thach Thanh district also sent a letter calling on all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the district to join hands to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province. After 10 days of launching (from August 11, 2023 to August 21, 2023), the whole district has supported an amount of over 117 million VND. This amount was transferred by the Fatherland Front Committee of the district to the account of the Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province to transfer to the Dien Bien Support Fund through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support the construction of houses for poor households in Dien Bien province and some localities in the Northwest region.

Joining hands to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province, the Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Buddhist Sangha also launched a call for monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the province to support and received a warm response. Most Venerable Thich Tam Dinh, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Thanh Hoa province, affirmed: “Supporting the construction of solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province is a practical and meaningful activity towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) and contributing more resources to share with poor households here. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha has called on monks and nuns in the province to join hands with the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support the construction of solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province. The amount is 150 million VND”.

In order to practically respond to the emulation movement "For the poor - no one is left behind" launched by the Prime Minister, to practically make achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has issued an appeal to support the program of building great solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province. Responding to the above appeal, with the consent of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to arouse the spirit of great national solidarity, the sense of responsibility of all classes of people in the province to care for ethnic minority people, revolutionary base areas, who have many contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation struggle, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province has called on businesses, agencies, organizations, individuals living, studying, working in Thanh Hoa province to join hands to support the construction of great solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households in Dien Bien province and the Northwest region.

Thereby, helping households have solid houses, creating motivation for them to continue to rise out of poverty, constantly improve their material and spiritual life, and feel secure in their "blood and flesh" attachment to the borderland of the Fatherland. With the above practical meaning, it has received the active participation of all classes of people in the province. Although only deployed from May 13, 2023 to September 30, 2023, the Dien Bien province solidarity house building support fund has received support from 286 units, organizations and individuals with an amount of more than 2.8 billion VND.

From this source of support, we will join hands with the Party Committee and the People of Thanh Hoa province to build solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households in Dien Bien province and some localities in the Northwest. Through this, we will contribute to propagating, educating, and arousing the spirit of national solidarity, the sense of responsibility of all classes of people, organizations, and individuals to join hands to care for ethnic minority people, revolutionary base areas, who have made many contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation struggle.
