With the goal of helping people overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic, ensuring social security and people's lives in the area, the Lang Chanh District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office (Lang Chanh Social Policy Bank) has effectively implemented the disbursement of loan packages according to Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP (NQ11) on the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program to beneficiaries. Up to now, hundreds of households have received capital disbursement to invest in production and business development, create jobs, increase income, build stable housing, and improve their lives.
Officers of the Lang Chanh Social Policy Bank inspected the use of policy credit capital at Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet's family in Dong Luong commune (Lang Chanh).
To gradually improve and increase family income and quality of life, especially after the period of impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the family of Mr. Nguyen Duy Hoa, Le Lai quarter, Lang Chanh town, applied for a loan of 100 million VND to support job creation, maintain and expand employment under Resolution 11 from the Lang Chanh Social Policy Bank. Mr. Hoa shared: “In early 2023, the bank disbursed the loan; my wife and I invested in expanding the store selling electrical and water equipment and household appliances. Currently, the store's revenue reaches more than 300 million VND/year, the family's electrical and water equipment installation business also creates jobs with stable income for 4 workers.
The family of Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet, a Thai ethnic in Dong Luong commune, is also one of the households that effectively uses policy credit capital under Resolution 11. It is known that in early 2023, through the assessment of the Village Savings and Loan Group, Ms. Tuyet was disbursed a loan of 100 million VND from the preferential capital source under Resolution 11 by the Lang Chanh Social Policy Bank. With the advice of the Commune Farmers' Association, she used the loan capital to invest in building barns and expanding the breeding pig model. Currently, her family is raising 6 breeding sows and nearly 60 pigs. Ms. Tuyet emotionally shared: “I am very happy because thanks to the State's policy, the poor have capital to develop production. My family and I will try to work hard, make good use of preferential capital, stabilize our lives, increase our income, and strive to get rich right on our homeland."
Mr. Hoa and Ms. Tuyet's family is one of hundreds of households in Lang Chanh that have received preferential credit loans under Resolution 11 of the Government. By the end of January 2024, the total outstanding loans of credit programs under Resolution 11 of the Government in Lang Chanh district reached more than 16.5 billion VND. Of which, loans to support job creation, job maintenance and expansion reached more than 14 billion VND; loans for social housing reached nearly 1.7 billion VND; loans to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development for ethnic minority and mountainous areas reached 440 million VND.
Director of the Lang Chanh Social Policy Bank, Tran Van Hoang, affirmed: “The implementation of policy credit under Resolution 11 of the Government in the past time has affirmed to be a solution to create more motivation and resilience for the economy, ensuring social security after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the district. Implementing Resolution 11, the unit has coordinated with the People's Committees of communes, towns, relevant departments and branches to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of preferential credit policies according to the resolution so that all levels, branches and people can understand clearly. At the same time, focus on reviewing and grasping the borrowing needs of poor households and policy beneficiaries in the area, advising competent authorities to arrange additional capital sources to promptly meet the borrowing needs of poor households and policy beneficiaries who are eligible, have the need to borrow capital conveniently, quickly and promptly".
In the coming time, the bank will continue to promote the dissemination of social policy credit programs, focusing on disseminating policies and results of implementing social policy credit at commune transaction points to promote the people's supervisory role in implementing social policy credit; guide people in completing loan applications and procedures; quickly disburse loans to eligible subjects; strengthen supervision of loan use to ensure proper purposes and effectiveness. At the same time, continue to effectively implement preferential credit policy programs of the State, ensuring that 100% of policy credit capital reaches the poor and policy subjects. Thereby, helping people overcome difficulties, develop production, contributing to ensuring social security in the area.
