At this event, Fulbright University Vietnam received a $1.5 million grant from Google to promote AI research and education in Vietnam.

The grant will be used to enhance AI education at Fulbright in partnership with our strategic partner, the New Turing Institute, Vietnam’s leading AI training, research and entrepreneurship center. This will help advance AI research by supporting faculty with promising research programs, maximizing research opportunities for students through scholarships, and fostering and working with the broader AI ecosystem among universities in Vietnam.

Dr. Scott Fritzen, President of Fulbright University Vietnam, shared: "AI is reshaping the world in unprecedented ways. At Fulbright, we aim to exploit this potential responsibly. We are grateful for Google's support, which will greatly assist us in integrating AI into our academic programs. This collaboration is a testament to Fulbright's commitment to training future leaders who can apply AI to solve global challenges."
