The Pixel 8 smartphone and the new generation smartwatch applying artificial intelligence (AI) technology were officially launched by Alphabet - Google's parent company early this morning, October 5, Hanoi time.
With the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro duo, Google has upgraded the Pixel phone line with the new Tensor G3 chipset.
The new chip has more AI capabilities, allowing users to process more data on devices and in the cloud.
AI features also support taking photos, synthesizing websites, and blocking spam calls.
The Pixel 8 Pro series has an additional "Thermometer" application to measure body temperature, licensed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The Pixel 8 has 8GB of RAM, while the Pro bumps that up to 12GB. Both are water and dust resistant, and both come with fingerprint and face unlock.
The starting price for the Pixel 8 is $699 and for the Pixel Pro 8 is $999, $100 more expensive than the previous generation models. The duo will officially hit shelves from October 12.
In addition to the phone, Alphabet also launched the Pixel Watch 2, with a starting price of $349.
