Golfer Mai Quoc Hoi and Nguyen Trong Tien won the Swing for the Kids 2024 Golf Tournament

On October 12 in Hanoi, Dau Tu newspaper organized the 17th annual charity golf tournament for Vietnamese children - Swing for the Kids 2024 with many special marks. The tournament found champions golfer Mai Quoc Hoi (Mountain View course) and Nguyen Trong Tien (Kings Island Golf Resort course).

Mr. Le Trong Minh - Editor-in-Chief of Investment Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee awarded 200 million VND to the Vietnam Education Promotion Fund.

In addition to the exciting competitions, the Tournament has raised 2.3 billion VND from the generosity of sponsors and more than 250 Golfers from domestic and international diplomatic agencies and organizations, along with many foreign businessmen and investors at Kings Island Golf Resort and Mountain View (Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi) to attend and support the Scholarship Fund for Vietnamese Children.

At the Gala Award Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 06 full scholarships in 2024, worth 10 million VND/scholarship to 6 students from the University of Transport and the Academy of Policy and Development. In addition, the Organizing Committee shared the difficulties of students affected by the recent storm and flood with 6 students as representatives. Also at the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 200 million VND to the Vietnam Education Promotion Fund.

Over 17 seasons, the Organizing Committee has raised more than 22 billion VND to hand over more than 21,000 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties and studied well, and to support the repair and upgrading of learning facilities in 40 provinces and cities across the country .

The Organizing Committee said that in addition to the annual scholarship program for poor but excellent students nationwide, this year the money raised through the Swing For the Kids Charity Golf Tournament will be prioritized to fund the reconstruction of schools and support students in localities affected by the recent Typhoon Yagi (Typhoon No. 3). In addition to the scholarship fund, Dau Tu Newspaper will connect sponsors to accompany these activities.
