In the sculpture world in Quang Ninh , art lovers know Nguyen Viet Quang for his rugged appearance and his works seem to have rough, angular features, but are no less romantic.

Born in Hai Hau ( Nam Dinh province) in a family with a tradition of sculpture, Nguyen Viet Quang followed his father to the mines since he was young and the mining area nurtured and passed on his passion for sculpture. Visiting Nguyen Viet Quang's family in a small street in Cua Ong ward (Cam Pha city), his house displays dozens of sculptures of many genres, mostly made of coal. From 2005 to present, Nguyen Viet Quang has had many works displayed, winning awards from regional to national exhibitions. In addition, he also actively participates in group exhibitions and fine art exhibitions launched by the Literature and Arts Association of Cam Pha province and city.

Now over 60 years old, Nguyen Viet Quang is still passionate about his profession. He has created many unique and novel sculptures. His wish is to have a solo exhibition and print a book introducing the works in his creative life.
