Editor's Note: In the photograph "Harvesting Gac Fruit," taken by Thanh Nam, the ripe, vibrant red gac fruits stand out against the lush green garden, creating a vivid picture. Currently, alongside the province's main crops such as dragon fruit, rice, and lemons, many farmers are boldly switching to other crops depending on their specific conditions, resulting in higher yields. Gac fruit is one of the crops many farmers choose to cultivate. It is an easy-to-grow plant that thrives well, requires little care, fertilizer, or pesticides, and bears fruit year-round. Gac fruit is mainly consumed domestically, limiting oversupply and price manipulation; if not sold quickly, the fruit can be frozen. Furthermore, gac growers can combine it with the VAC (Garden-Pond-Livestock) model to maximize land use and increase income. Therefore, gac fruit promises to be a promising crop, providing farmers with a stable market and a good income.
