U.22 Vietnam returned to the training ground today (May 6) to prepare for the match against U.22 Malaysia. Two days earlier, coach Philippe Troussier had his players practice in the gym and swimming pool to relax and recover. The French coach reduced the training volume, with the aim of giving the Vietnamese players time to "relax" before returning to the dense competition schedule.
After 2 days of relaxation, U.22 Vietnam returned to tactical training with the coaching staff. Under the 39 degree Celsius heat in Phnom Penh, Coach Troussier's students adjusted their training volume to a moderate level, avoiding too much training to avoid heat shock.

But at the same time, U.22 Vietnam still ensures intensity in the exercises to maintain concentration, muscle flexibility as well as physical balance to flexibly respond to competition conditions at SEA Games 32.
Coach Troussier's team has won all 2 first matches at SEA Games 32, temporarily leading the table with 6 points, goal difference +4, equal to U.22 Thailand. However, the 2 upcoming matches for U.22 Vietnam are really difficult when the team has to face U.22 Malaysia and U.22 Thailand. These are the two leading candidates for the gold medal at SEA Games 32.
While U.22 Thailand defeated U.22 Singapore (3-1) and U.22 Malaysia (2-0), U.22 Malaysia also crushed U.22 Laos with a 5-1 victory. The defeat in the match against U.22 Thailand a few hours ago further motivated U.22 Malaysia in the decisive match against U.22 Vietnam, because another defeat means the "Tigers" will soon leave the game.
At 7pm on May 8, U.22 Vietnam will face U.22 Malaysia. At the U.22 level, Vietnam has won against Malaysia in the last 5 encounters in all competitions. However, coach Troussier and his team still need to be careful.

In this afternoon's training session, the French coach continued to train his players in teamwork, handling and moving in a narrow area, one-touch finishing, and set pieces. The past 4 days of rest have helped Mr. Troussier reassess the overall situation of U.22 Vietnam, and at the same time study the strength of U.22 Malaysia to find a solution to prevent it.
