According to information from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Fisheries (Department of Agriculture and Environment of Yen Bai province), during the week from April 3 to 10, 2025, the province did not record any dangerous infectious diseases such as Blue Ear, Foot and Mouth Disease, Avian Influenza, Lumpy Skin Disease, and African Swine Fever. This is a positive signal, especially in the context of the strong increase in transportation, slaughtering and consumption of livestock, poultry and aquatic products at the beginning of the second quarter - the peak period of the livestock breeding and product consumption season.
During the week, the province quarantined 44 shipments of animals and animal products out of the province, including 10,505 cattle, poultry, rabbits and 5,000 kg of chicken feet products that had been granted quarantine certificates. In parallel with quarantine work, functional units regularly coordinate closely with the Department of Agriculture and Environment of districts, towns and cities to monitor epidemics, and at the same time guide livestock farmers on the process of handling the environment of barns, ensuring veterinary hygiene and biosafety.
Effective disease control not only firmly protects production results but also creates favorable conditions for the livestock and aquaculture industries to expand markets, improve quality and ensure food safety. This is a solid foundation for Yen Bai's agricultural sector to aim for sustainable and stable growth in 2025 and the following years.
