On the afternoon of April 21, former coach Park Hang Seo worked for the first time with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in his new position. The 67-year-old expert was recently appointed as Vice President of the Korea Football Association (KFA) in early April 2025.

During the meeting with VFF leaders, Mr. Park Hang Seo affirmed that he will continue to make efforts to contribute to the common development of the two football foundations. The new Vice President of KFA also affirmed that this agency is always ready to welcome Vietnamese teams to train at modern sports training centers.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan expressed his appreciation for Mr. Park Hang Seo's contributions. The Vietnam Football Federation's leaders believe that Mr. Park will be an important bridge to promote cooperation between the two football countries.

VFF and KFA have had a cooperative relationship for many years and it was further strengthened during the time Mr. Park Hang Seo was the head coach of the Vietnam national team. The successful period in Southeast Asia helped Mr. Park create a great influence in both Vietnam and Korea.

After his contract with VFF ends in early 2023, Mr. Park Hang Seo will continue to work in Vietnam. The former head coach of the Vietnam national team opened a youth football training center and is also an advisor for the Bac Ninh club (currently playing in the Second Division).

Coach Park Hang Seo also gave a lot of advice to his former student Kim Sang-sik - who is leading the Vietnamese team. After winning the 2024 AFF Cup, coach Kim Sang-sik revealed that one of the important factors that helped him integrate quickly and achieve early results with the Vietnamese team was Mr. Park's advice.

On April 9, Mr. Park Hang Seo was appointed as Vice President of the Korean Football Association. The former head coach of the Vietnamese national team will play an important advisory role in decisions related to the Korean national team as well as enhancing the image of Korean football.
