The support of the Internet, social media, and smart devices has helped young people enhance their capabilities and develop themselves in an integrated manner. One noteworthy highlight is the active participation of youth union members in community digital technology groups, supporting and guiding people in installing online public service applications and cashless payments; and raising awareness among the public about the risks of online fraud. These actions, though small, are practical and contribute to changing community perceptions about the value of digital transformation and the role of technology in all aspects of social life.
With the proactive and voluntary spirit of youth, An Giang's young people effectively participate in the province's digital transformation activities, such as: organizing the Cashless Payment Day, contributing to the digital transformation of commercial transactions; establishing volunteer teams to guide people in using online public services; promoting the role of Youth Union officials in implementing Project 06/CP; utilizing cyberspace, digital platforms, and social networks in propaganda, education , and organizing Youth Union activities. Not only do they support the community, but An Giang's youth also proactively apply technology platforms to start-up models to connect, sell products, develop production and business, and seek markets…
Contributing to digital transformation in the commercial sector.
Mr. Ngo Thanh Toan (residing in Long Xuyen City) shared: “Working in the field of information technology, my colleagues and I are all young people. During our work, we are fortunate to have had a lot of exposure to digital transformation activities and to learn about new technologies. It's undeniable that the digital age is bringing opportunities for young people to develop. This is clearly demonstrated by how young people are leveraging the power of technology to serve their studies, work, and business… Learning and working have become more flexible, personalized, and efficient, saving time and increasing productivity. This is especially useful for young people working in creative fields, marketing, or technology.”
Recognizing the significant need for social media use among the people and youth union members in the current period, the An Giang Provincial Youth Union has encouraged its units to build information and propaganda pages for the youth union organization on social media from the provincial level to the grassroots. This has helped to promote the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, current events, and outstanding issues of the country and the locality; to combat erroneous views and harmful information on the internet; to promote and disseminate advanced models and exemplary individuals among youth union members; and to share beautiful images of tourist areas and destinations, and to promote OCOP (One Commune One Product) products of the province. In particular, the use of social media has encouraged youth union members to play a pioneering role in implementing digital transformation and accessing new technologies.
With appropriate investment from the State and the proactive and pioneering spirit of the Youth Union, many practical models contributing to digital transformation have been implemented. Activities such as selling products through e-commerce platforms, promoting and introducing products through social networks; and working, studying, and managing work remotely via smartphones are becoming increasingly common. This shows that the digital transformation is gradually becoming an integral part of people's lives.
In the coming period, youth union organizations at all levels in the province will continue to strengthen the education and enhancement of knowledge and skills for young people regarding digital transformation and its benefits. At the same time, they will promote the popularization of digital skills and cybersecurity skills among young people; and improve the technological and information capabilities of youth union officials at all levels.
