The conference was chaired by the People's Committee of Bac Kan province, in coordination with the People's Committees of Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Lang Son and Thai Nguyen provinces.

Speaking at the conference, a representative of the Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee said that when talking about Viet Bac, we immediately remember the cradle of the Vietnamese revolution, the place that marked many heroic feats of arms of our army and people, the place that marked countless memories of the life and revolutionary career of the great President Ho Chi Minh.

With a system of important national relics, Viet Bac is a place of convergence and cultural exchange of many ethnic minorities, with many unique customs, practices, festivals, folklore, cuisine, and traditional crafts.

With the typical terrain and climate of the mountainous provinces, the Viet Bac provinces have beautiful natural landscapes, diverse ecosystems with primeval forests, systems of rivers, lakes, waterfalls, majestic caves, and famous landmarks that are interesting destinations, attracting domestic and international tourists.

At the conference, the Viet Bac provinces introduced the overall content of the 15th "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Areas" Tourism Program - Bac Kan in 2024, which will be held in Bac Kan province from August 24 to 29, 2024. The "Through the Viet Bac Heritage Areas" tourism program is a regional-level cultural and tourism promotion program held annually, rotating among 6 provinces of the Viet Bac region: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, and Ha Giang.

Outstanding activities will take place in the program "Through the Viet Bac heritage" this year such as: "Beauty of Viet Bac" contest; Bac Kan open mountain bike race; OCOP agricultural products festival and culinary culture of 6 Viet Bac provinces; Exhibition of paintings and tourism photos of 6 Viet Bac provinces; Intangible cultural heritage performance program included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage of Bac Kan province...
