The work “Dat oi no hoa” was performed by Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, arranged by musician Duc Thuy. The song takes listeners back to memories, back to their mothers, back to the sacred land, and is also a harmony between national memories and aspirations to rise up.
The song is divided into 4 parts: The opening part shows the inheritance and continuation of tradition, the attachment to the land through the images of the monochord, lullabies, folk songs, and bowls of rice. The transitional part evokes childhood memories through the image of a hard-working mother "ripe rice, children's smiles". Moving to the climax, the song has an optimistic, joyful atmosphere, expressing the spirit of national solidarity. In the end, the musician pushes the emotions to explode by emphasizing the refrain "I love my country" with love for the blooming country - a metaphor for development, prosperity and a bright future.
The song was written by musician Nguyen Thanh Trung in the folk lyrical genre, arranged by musician Duc Thuy with the sound of the monochord throughout, combined with the heartfelt, soulful voice of Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung about the image of mother singing lullabies, folk songs, carrying rice, bowls of rice water, soapberry... very rustic but very close to the children of Vietnam.
Musician Nguyen Thanh Trung shared that he put many symbolic images of the country into the song "Dat oi no hoa" with the intention of creating a living organism that can converse and love, as through the calls "Dat oi" and "Nuoc oi".
The song “Dat oi no hoa” was performed by the Organizing Committee of the art and political program “Khuc ca khai trien” of the Voice of Vietnam, on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
