Lieutenant Colonel Ho Van Giup, Director of the Military Procuracy of Region 92, said: “Depending on the nature of each case, we assign prosecutors to be in charge according to their abilities and work experience. In particular, for criminal cases, the commander of the Institute directly directs the practice of prosecution and trial supervision; or coordinates with the Military Court of the Military Region to organize experience-sharing sessions to help the prosecutors learn and improve their professional skills." The comments after the experience-sharing sessions help the prosecutors directly adjudicate clearly the advantages and shortcomings in the practice of prosecution and trial supervision of the case; thereby, improving their legal knowledge, interrogation skills, debating skills and handling of arising situations.
With more than 10 years of experience in the industry, handling many cases in various fields, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Van Dung, Junior Prosecutor, Military Procuracy of Region 92, shared his experience: “Since receiving the case, I have closely followed the instructions from above, coordinated with investigators to research, grasped the case file through the process of taking statements as well as collecting evidence; even requested additional investigation if necessary, in addition, I had to proactively anticipate situations that arise in accordance with the case to effectively question and debate.”
Currently, the crime situation is becoming more and more complicated and sophisticated, especially in economic, financial, corruption, property rights infringement, and property fraud cases, requiring prosecutors to not only have professional knowledge but also understand digital technology and regularly update new methods and tricks of crime. Lieutenant Colonel Ho Van Dung added: “Based on the digital technology platform, criminals conceal their crimes, making it difficult to collect evidence and prosecute. Remember in 2022, by proactively contacting telecommunications networks and banks to coordinate the investigation to prove the criminal acts of fraud and property fraud, thanks to that, my colleagues and I resolved the case on schedule.”
On the other hand, through training courses organized by superiors, the Military Procuracy of Region 92 has increased the application of information technology and digital transformation, reporting cases using mind maps. Captain Tran Hoang Dong, a junior prosecutor, Military Procuracy of Region 92, said: "To improve my skills, I learned skills and how to use digital file software, and consulted the content of the notice of experience in handling cases posted on the Supreme People's Procuracy's electronic information portal."
Thanks to effective solutions, from December 2022 to present, the Military Procuracy of Region 92 has completed the files, participated in the trial of 4 cases with 13 defendants, ensuring proper legal procedures, right people, right crimes. In the coming time, the Party Committee and the command of the Institute determined to continue building a team of KSV officers who are politically steadfast, good at professional skills, and well-versed in the law. This is a key measure that contributes significantly to improving the quality of practicing the right to prosecute and supervise judicial activities in the management area, preventing wrongful convictions and letting criminals escape.
