Lieutenant Colonel Ho Van Giup, Director of the Military Procuracy of Region 92, stated: “Depending on the nature of each case, we assign prosecutors according to their abilities and experience. Especially for criminal cases, the Procuracy commander directly supervises the prosecution and trial supervision; or coordinates with the Military Court of the Military Region to organize trial review sessions to help prosecutors learn and improve their professional skills.” The feedback received after these review sessions helps prosecutors directly involved in the trials to clearly see the strengths and weaknesses in their prosecution and trial supervision; thereby improving their legal knowledge, questioning skills, debating skills, and ability to handle emerging situations.

With over 10 years of experience in the field, handling numerous cases across various sectors, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Van Dung, a junior prosecutor at the Military Procuracy of Region 92, shared his experience: “From the moment I received the case, I closely followed the directives from above, coordinated with investigators to thoroughly research and understand the case file through the process of taking statements and collecting evidence; I even requested supplementary investigations if necessary. In addition, I proactively anticipated potential situations relevant to the case to conduct effective questioning and debate.”

Currently, the crime situation is becoming increasingly complex and sophisticated, especially in cases involving economic and financial crimes, corruption, property infringement, and fraud. This requires prosecutors not only to have specialized knowledge but also to be knowledgeable about digital technology and to constantly update their understanding of new criminal methods and tactics. Lieutenant Colonel Ho Van Dung added: “Based on digital technology, perpetrators conceal their criminal acts, making it difficult to gather evidence and prosecute. I remember in 2022, by proactively contacting telecommunications companies and banks to cooperate in the investigation to prove the criminal acts of fraudsters, my colleagues and I were able to resolve the case on schedule.”

On the other hand, through training courses organized by higher authorities, the Military Procuracy of Region 92 has strengthened the application of information technology and digital transformation, reporting cases using mind maps. Captain Tran Hoang Dong, a junior prosecutor at the Military Procuracy of Region 92, said: “To improve my skills, I learned how to use the software for digitizing case files and referred to the content of the case resolution lessons learned announcements posted on the Supreme People's Procuracy's electronic portal.”

Thanks to effective solutions, from December 2022 to the present, the Military Procuracy of Region 92 has completed dossiers and participated in the trial of 4 cases involving 13 defendants, ensuring that legal procedures are followed correctly and that the right people are charged with the right crimes. In the future, the Party Committee and the leadership of the Procuracy are determined to continue building a team of prosecutors who are politically sound, professionally competent, and knowledgeable in law. This is a key measure that will significantly contribute to improving the quality of the exercise of prosecutorial power and the supervision of judicial activities in the managed area, preventing wrongful convictions and ensuring that no crimes go unpunished.
