On January 25, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City Le Hoai Nam issued a document guiding schools to implement the payment of Tet gifts for the year of Giap Thin 2024 to teachers, officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers.
Accordingly, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City instructed public schools to spend 1.8 million VND/person on Tet gifts from the state budget.
To promptly pay Tet gifts to teachers, officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers, Mr. Le Hoai Nam suggested that schools spend from the budget allocated in the 2024 budget.
At the same time, units must submit a written request to supplement the 2024 budget (the non-autonomous budget and irregular budget) with the unit's January 2024 payroll to explain the supplementary budget.
In addition to the Tet gift of 1.8 million VND/person, on this occasion, cadres, teachers and employees in Ho Chi Minh City will also enjoy additional income according to Resolution No. 08/2023 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council on additional income spending according to Resolution No. 98/2023 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City. This is a special mechanism of Ho Chi Minh City implemented since 2018.
