The person who just denounced Little Kings on social media is Ms. P., the teacher of this group. On August 23, Ms. P. posted online that on August 6, the group had fed students vermicelli with a sour smell. This happened twice in a row that week. In addition, the eggs were burnt black but were still included in the children's meals.

Ms. P.'s post included an internal chat of the nursery group, discussing the stomachaches of some children suspected to be caused by sour noodles. In the chat, after the teachers reported that the children had diarrhea, the nursery group manager texted, "Temporarily, the classes will monitor and report any news to the office. As for the noodles, confirm that they were boiled before giving them to the children."

Speaking to VietNamNet on the morning of August 27, Ms. P. confirmed that the content she posted was true. Ms. P. has received a work invitation from the Cyber Security Department of Da Nang City Police regarding her post. She has currently authorized her lawyer to work with relevant units.

Ms. P. has now quit her job. The nursery owner said that Ms. P. quit her job on August 22 without giving 30 days notice and therefore was not paid.

School reporting requirements

Ms. Nguyen Hoang Tieu Mai, the investor of the nursery group, said that the authorities are currently investigating and the school will provide feedback when there is an official conclusion from the authorities. In response to many indignant opinions, the school has locked its Fanpage.

Previously, in response to the press, Ms. Mai said that at the time the teachers reported, 7-8 children from the classes had diarrhea. From noon to afternoon of the same day and the next day, no children had unusual diarrhea. According to the manager of the boarding group, on the morning of August 6, when the kitchen heard that the noodles had a sour smell, the facility bought noodles from another supplier to replace them. They said that the strong sour smell was due to the noodles being boiled in water, not because the noodles were spoiled.

The incident is causing a stir in public opinion. Many opinions want the authorities to verify and inspect the quality of meals at the Little Kings independent preschool group.

On the morning of August 27, Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh Tu, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Chau District (Da Nang) said that the Department had received the above information. “After the post appeared on social media, we immediately conducted an inspection. The incident took place on August 6. The teacher quit her job on August 22 and had unsatisfactory issues with the school. The Department has directed an inspection and requested the school to report.

After checking, the current situation of the school is still stable. If on August 6, as soon as the incident was discovered, they would conduct a sample inspection, but the incident happened quite a while ago so there are many unclear things. We ask the school to pay attention, not to let this situation happen again (if it happens) in the kitchen," said Mr. Tu.
