Transport "paves the way" for development

Joy and excitement are the feelings of hundreds of households in Mon Ha village, Xuan Lao commune in the past few days since the construction of the village road started. Because before, the distance from the village to the commune center was not far, but because it had not been upgraded, the road surface had many "buffalo holes" and "chicken holes", making it very difficult to travel when it rained. Also because the difficult roads hindered the trading of goods of the people in the village.

Mr. Kieu Xuan Hoang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Lao Commune, said: The people are very excited about the construction of the new road. They are excited because in addition to the attention of the Party Committee, the government, socio-political organizations, and philanthropists, the completion of the road is also partly thanks to the contributions of the people.

According to the Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Lao Commune, the Mon Ha internal road has a total investment of more than 2.5 billion VND. The investment is not large but has a particularly important political significance, because in addition to the 100% investment capital from socialized sources, all affected land, assets, crops, and architectural objects were voluntarily donated by the people to widen the road with an area of nearly ^2,000m2 .

In the joy of the completion of the road before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, Mr. Lo Van Ky, Mon Ha village confided: Most of the people in Mon Ha village still have many economic difficulties. With the new road, traveling and transporting food will be more convenient. Unlike before, traveling was very difficult, especially in the rainy season, when walking was slippery and you would fall down.

Paying attention to developing transport infrastructure, in just a few years, Muong Ang district has invested hundreds of billions of VND, implementing many key transport projects, inter-commune roads, and intra-village roads to clear the economic veins, connect key economic zones in the area, and create trade needs for people. In particular, with the motto "The State and the People work together", in recent years, the rural transport system in Muong Ang district has been increasingly developing synchronously. Up to now, 100% of communes have car roads to the center; the current system of commune, inter-commune, village and inter-village roads has been paved, making travel convenient all year round. Of which, the district level has paved nearly 80km; the commune level has paved 130km. The total number of village and hamlet roads is nearly 200km, over 100km have been paved; meeting the travel and freight transport needs of people in the area.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh, Head of the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Muong Ang district, said: Determining traffic is one of the important criteria in the process of building new rural areas, creating a premise to promote socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, therefore, every year, Muong Ang district has mobilized investment capital from the State; at the same time, mobilizing people to contribute funds and human resources to speed up the construction of roads and inter-village and inter-commune routes to help people travel conveniently and easily trade goods. With the efforts of local Party committees and authorities at all levels, especially with appropriate methods, the new rural construction program in general and the development of rural traffic infrastructure in particular in Muong Ang district has gathered the strength of solidarity and mobilized the participation of the entire political system.

Although the roads in Muong Ang district have been and are being invested synchronously, however, with the characteristics of a mountainous district, in reality, Muong Ang still has many roads that need to be newly invested or upgraded and expanded. However, the most important problem is the difficulty in capital sources. To overcome the above difficulties, the Party Committee and the government of Muong Ang district are making efforts to mobilize people to join hands, contribute labor, and donate land with the motto "The State and the People work together". At the same time, we hope to continue to receive the attention of the Central Government and the province, helping people's lives to gradually improve.
