Professor joins teaching semiconductor industry and immediately receives 220 million VND

With the development of the semiconductor industry, Vietnam is an attractive investment destination for large enterprises and corporations. Therefore, investing in high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of the labor market is very necessary.

To develop resources for the semiconductor industry, Bac Ninh has issued Resolution No. 05 to support teachers, students, and pupils to create high-quality human resources for the locality.

Accordingly, Bac Ninh province supports teachers with postgraduate qualifications who are recruited and accepted to teach high-quality training programs in the semiconductor industry at public training institutions under the province and have a long-term commitment of at least 10 years for male professors with 200 million VND and female professors with 220 million VND.

In addition, male associate professors are supported with 140 million VND, female is 160 million VND; male PhD is 100 million VND, female is 120 million VND; male Master (semiconductor industry) is 80 million VND, female is 100 million VND.

The province will also support housing costs of 1 billion VND if professors, associate professors, and doctors from outside the province are recruited and accepted to teach the program and commit to working long-term for at least 10 years.

For vocational students, the province supports tuition fees for majors and occupations under high-quality training programs and occupations related to the semiconductor industry.

The level of tuition support for students and workers who have graduated from high school to study at university, college, and intermediate levels under high-quality training programs and occupations related to the semiconductor industry at training facilities operating in the area ranges from VND 1.64 million/month/student to VND 2.94 million/month/student depending on the level of study and school year.

Bac Ninh also supports short-term training tuition fees to meet the demand for human resources in the semiconductor industry at training facilities. The maximum support level is 1.5 million VND/person/month.

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Bac Ninh province said that the province has 16 industrial parks with about 22,128 enterprises. 423,203 people work in the enterprises.

According to the Department, technology and digital industry enterprises investing in Bac Ninh province have increased sharply in the current period, leading to the development of supporting companies.

Therefore, the demand for skilled human resources is increasing, especially high-quality human resources. Microchip human resources are forecasted to need 30,000-35,000 skilled and high-quality workers in the next 3 years.

Therefore, the recent approval of Resolution No. 05/HDND by the Provincial People's Council plays an important role and is an optimal solution contributing to the investment attraction plan, partially solving the problem of high-quality human resources for businesses in the province today.
