At the cultural and tourism exchange program, performances by Chinese and Vietnamese artists enriched the cultural and spiritual connection between the people of the two countries, and praised the close friendship between the Chinese and Vietnamese people. Vietnamese songs performed against the backdrop of beautiful natural images and friendly Vietnamese people contributed to promoting Vietnam as a destination to Chinese visitors.

The representative of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam said that the China-Vietnam cultural exchange is constantly improving. According to statistics in the first 8 months of 2024, the number of Chinese tourists to Vietnam exceeded 2.4 million, accounting for over 21% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. Since the beginning of the year, China-Vietnam economic and trade cooperation has developed strongly. After 7 months, the bilateral trade turnover has reached 145 billion USD, an increase of more than 20% over the same period last year.

In particular, Yunnan Province (China) and Vietnamese localities with close geographical locations have always maintained good relations. In Yunnan, the revolutionary imprints of President Ho Chi Minh are still preserved, vividly illustrating the revolutionary friendship between generations of senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries. Economic and trade cooperation has reaped many results, connectivity cooperation has achieved new developments, friendly exchanges have a new look, and cooperation mechanisms have been established such as meetings between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of the five border provinces of China and Vietnam.

In terms of tourism, Yunnan Province (China) is currently an attractive destination for Vietnamese tourists, with diverse experiences and convenient traffic connections by both road and air. Tourists can take a flight or road to Kunming - the capital of Yunnan Province to visit this city, then continue their journey to some neighboring destinations such as Dali, Lijiang... Some road tourism routes across the border from Lao Cai (Vietnam) to Yunnan (China) also attract tourists thanks to convenient procedures, affordable costs and diverse destinations such as Hekou, Pingbian, Jianshui, Shilin...

VOV.VN - Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, the landscape of Lijiang Old Town (Yunnan, China) has been preserved authentically to this day. It is considered one of the typical examples of harmonious and sustainable tourism development in an old town where people still live.
